Known as Parko from an early age but officially John James Park MSc.
Born in Carlisle Cumbria, educated at secondary school level.
Living in Scotland has been very inspirational for me.
In Childhood my artistic ability often gained praise from my mentors and peers.
Artist Statement
My art is abstract. I create my art in this way because I need to transform what I see into the abstract. I do this by condensing what I see into simple shapes, I then put these shapes on to my canvas and then apply colour and textures.
Abstract art allows me to create images for all aspects and situations I experience in life.
Painting most days and alternating my subject matter on reflection of what I see and think daily.

August 2020 Blog No Kirkcudbright Art Festival 2020.
Last year I painted this painting which was a spin on the Pearl Jam Yield Album Cover.
It had a great success on Twitter and was also approved by Pearl Jam.
